This cute little two bedroom house was built in the 1920's and hadn't seen any kind of update since then. The electrical and plumbing were out of date, the shag carpeting was dark and dirty, and the flow of the house was anything but optimal - the kitchen had 4 different exit doors! The goal of this project was to update the necessities like electrical and plumbing, but keep all of the original details. The crown molding was saved, the wood floors were sanded and stained, and the windows were repaired. This property was going to be a short-term rental for the owners which meant that the budget was tight and and the timeline was quick. We landed on a design that highlighted some of the traditional beauties of this home while making it comfortable and usable for the new tenants.
