This ranch style home was built in the 1970's and was the childhood home of my client. She wanted to update the house to prepare it for long-term rentals and a future sale. The house had not been updated in over 40 years. The floral wallpaper was peeling off, the plumbing had leaked and caused damage to the drywall, the fixtures were old, and the pink shag carpet needed to go. We designed a new color and material scheme that was clean, with an updated designer feel. The kitchen became a true chef's kitchen with new cabinets, caesarstone countertops, new appliances, and an open-concept feel with tons of storage. (We kept all appliances in their original locations to save on costs.) All the flooring was replaced with a modern grey porcelain tile and beautiful medium-toned engineered wood. This project took 4 months to complete and was rented out just weeks after it's listing. (Staging was done by Showhomes of South Bay.)
