This 1,500 sq. ft office was previously a dark and neglected office space. The interior partitions were made from exterior vinyl doors and thin drywall. All of it had to go. Having a good floorplan is always the first step in making sure a space is maximized to its potential. We were able to carve out 5 private offices, a general seating area, an assistant area, a marble-clad bathroom and shower, and a gorgeous kitchen that rivals any home kitchen. The quality workmanship from the solid wide-plank oak flooring, wood doors, to the custom cabinetry by Angel City WoodShop all elevate the space. The client wanted a country beach vibe which was achieved with exposed white beam ceilings, white shiplap, and breezy decor and furnishings. Center stage of the office and main gathering hole is the kitchen island which I designed to comfortably seat 8. Since the office space was limited, we used the kitchen island as the main conference room which worked well for the casual LuckyChap vibe. No office is complete without a post-surf shower clad in carrara marble-tiled walls and a custom floating vanity. And of course, this wouldn't be SoCal if all the doors didn't open out onto a gorgeous interior courtyard. (photos by Jenna Kim).
