This Southern California house was a beach beauty stuck in a traditional style, screaming to be freed of it's curves and ornate iron work. For the exterior, we removed outdated mailboxes, light fixtures, address numbers, and the old wrought iron deck railing. We replaced these with streamlined designs like the all glass and steel railing that reveals an unobstructed view of the ocean from the third floor. For the interiors, we removed an entire hallyway on the upper level that was cutting-off the flow between the living and kitchen areas. This removal opened up the entire upper level to views of the ocean. We also removed a mirror-lined room that was previously the gym and changed it to a kid's bunk room. We also changed out light fixtures, updated flooring, paint, and added renter-friendly furnishings for this vacation rental home.
