This Southern California house was a beach beauty stuck in a traditional style, screaming to be freed of it's curves and ornate iron work. For the exterior, we removed outdated mailboxes, light fixtures, address numbers, and the old wrought iron deck railing. We replaced these with streamlined designs like the all glass and steel railing that reveals an unobstructed view of the ocean from the third floor. For the interiors, we remodeled a mirror-lined room that was previously the gym and changed it to a kid's hang-out and bunk room. We also changed out light fixtures, and added a new coat of paint. It's amazing how a coat of paint can change the look of a home!
